Jacalyn and Chad
by Alec Moreno on Feb.02, 2010, under Studio
Jacalyn and Chad’s wedding was way cool. They chose the Westlake Village Inn for their venue and it was a great fit. The couple was completely at ease and Chris Diset (Chris Diset Photography) captured it with the professional edge he always delivers. The unique part of the ceremony for me was when the pastor read a short history of the couple before Jacalyn was “given away.” He really brought their two families together with that. Walking into the wine cellar where the reception was held was like walking into a different reality with the great decor overlooking the lake and the band playing all night long. What a great end to such an emotional day where the pastor summed up the wedding and really, Jacalyn and Chad’s relationship with this prayer…
“Thank you for this moment.”
By the way, the LA Dodgers were happy to help Jacalyn out with her “something blue” for the ceremony.

Hannah and Paul
by Alec Moreno on Oct.25, 2009, under Studio
Hannah and Paul had a beautiful tea ceremony to start the day. I love shooting tea ceremonies. For anyone who hasn’t had the opportunity to attend one, they’re completely different from traditional American ceremonies, and everyone gets to hear from all the family members as part of the ceremony.
Next, it was off to the church (Saint Joachim Parish) for the American ceremony and then the Royal Restaurant and Banquet…an incredibly elegant location. Jennifer Johnson (OC’s Finest Weddings) did an excellent job of coordinating the event. Even before showing up, I knew that everything was going to run smoothly.

Sharda and Naveen
by Alec Moreno on Jun.19, 2009, under Studio
Sharda and Naveen had a tremendous wedding that took us through the streets of Palm Springs to the homes of both families and the Palm Springs Riviera Resort. It was also a great opportunity to work with Michael Segal whose photographic work is incredible. Michael was all too happy to please our couple in supplying me with a number of great shots from which I was able to create an additional photo montage showcasing his work (which you can see on the second image below).

Vanessa and Ben
by Alec Moreno on Apr.18, 2009, under Studio
I went with a faster-paced edit and played with the film speed in a few places for Vanessa and Ben’s wedding film. The Padua Hills Theatre in Claremont was a great choice, as it was the perfectly intimate venue for their reception.

Dancing Montage
by Alec Moreno on Apr.05, 2009, under Studio
I just uploaded the dancing montage from Ellyse’s quinceaƱera. This type of film is mostly shot from a steadicam along with other techniques…and is a favorite of many clients.

Two New Studios
by Alec Moreno on Feb.23, 2009, under Studio
It’s an exciting day! This marks the opening of my two new studios…one here in the form of a blog, and the other out in the real world of Southern California. Whether you check in here periodically or find the time to stop by the studio in person, I hope that you’ll get a feel for my style, and find out about some of the great people that I so often get to work with.
Here’s a recent highlight of a quinceaƱera we shot for Ellyse. Her reception was held at the Pacific Palms Resort in Industry Hills and was MC/DJ’d by Gerardo Gallegos from
Invisible Touch.
